Elizabeth Smith, PhD, LMHC is a licensed mental health counselor with more than a decade of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families through complex mental health and substance use challenges.
She specializes in mood disorders, trauma, addictions, and cognitive-behavioral therapy, with a strong reputation for accurate assessment, thoughtful case conceptualization, and compassionate clinical care.
Elizabeth has served in a wide range of treatment settings—including residential, outpatient, and family programs—and brings extensive experience in individual, group, and family psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and treatment planning.
In addition to her clinical work, she has been an adjunct professor at Palm Beach Atlantic University, contributed to major mental health publications, and served as the Managing Editor for The American Journal of Family Therapy from 2014 until 2023.
